IMPORTANT NOTICE - ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING & CHARITY BAKE OFF
Lancing Business Park Business Improvement District (BID) gives notice of the Annual General Meeting
Date: Friday 9th February 2024
Time: 2:00pm until 3:15pm followed by networking and delicious samples until 4:00pm
At: Iagos Cafe, Paula Rosa Manhattan Furniture, Marlborough Road
Businesses based on Lancing Business Park and Partner Organisations are invited to attend the LBP AGM and Charity Bake Off at Iagos Cafe.
This is a chance to meet other LBP businesses and hear about the progress LBP has been making, including a full update on new plans to address road surface issues on the park. In additional LBP would like to invite you to enter the Charity Bake Off to help raise funds for Electric Storm Youth and sample these delicious entries.
Charity Bake Off Details:
This is a team building opportunity for your company to demonstrate their baking expertise. Whether it's savoury, sweet, kids food or all of theses, LBP welcomes your entries.
Janusz Domagala from The Great British Bake Off, Tim Loughton MP and Lucy Iago have kindly agreed to be judges for the day and the winners will be announced at the start of the AGM. A charity donation of £25 is needed per entry and will allow a maximum of 4 dishes - 1 savoury, 1 sweet and two kids food, but you don't have to submit all of these if you prefer.
Please register to attend this meeting and confirm whether you're interest in entering the Charity Bake Off too. LBP will forward further details to those interested in entering the Charity Bake Off.
The AGM is an open meeting, however only members (companies based on the business park) are allowed to vote on motions and there is a strict ruling of one vote per member. The AGM will be run in accordance with BID best policy, and will elect the Members of the Advisory Committee for the forthcoming year.
The Lancing BID team will comprise of one member of staff (BID Manager) who will be responsible for delivering the aims, projects and aspirations of LBP. The BID Manager reports to the LBP Advisory Committee (up to a maximum of 15 members) the composition of the Advisory Committee will include businesses paying the BID levy and non-voting representatives from advisory organisations:
• The Directors
• At least one Member representative from each area of the six roads on LBP:
Blenheim Road
Chartwell Road
Commerce Way
Marlborough Road
Peter Road
Spencer Road
• Members from Adur & Worthing Councils and Worthing & Adur Chamber of Commerce
• The BID Manager
Applications are invited for any person wishing to stand for election as a Member of the Advisory Group. A notice signed by a Member qualified to vote at the Annual General Meeting should be sent to Lancing Business Park Ltd. The notice must state their intention to propose their nomination for appointment and must be accompanied by a notice signed by the nominee of his/her willingness to be appointed. The closing date for receipt of nominations is Tuesday 6th February 2024.
