Works Status – Ahead of Schedule!

Please note tonight is the final night of the 8pm parking suspension on the park  

We are almost there!

Last night saw the completion of the strengthening works and resurfacing at the end of Marlborough Road, up to the junction with Commerce Way.

The crew also managed to get ahead of schedule ready for their last night of resurfacing works in Commerce Way, by prepping parts of Commerce Way early to help speed up their final exit from the park tonight.

One slight change of plan happened last night, when the road repairs became slightly more than expected after a very warm day. The decision was made to postpone these works until tonight, allowing sufficient time to complete all the repairs and then providing better curing time with less movements on Saturday and Sunday. As a result, the parking suspension will stay in place tonight to ensure nobody parks near or over the damaged areas, providing full access for the Repair Crew as this is the only shot we have to address the damaged areas.

Please note that Commerce Way will be fully closed from 8pm tonight to enable uninterrupted works time for the crew. Please can you access the park via Winston Road from 8pm tonight and park in the Marlborough Road Car Park if you need to enter or exit Commerce Way/Peter Road after 8pm. Thank you.

We are sure that you will all be pleased to hear that when FM Conway complete their works tonight, they will be removing all the parking suspension signs and returning the park to completely normal access from then on.

LBP appreciates there has been a little bit of pain for businesses, staff and customers during these works, but we hope you will join LBP in feeling that the pain was really worth it.
