IMPORTANT NOTICE - ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING & CHARITY BAKE OFF
Lancing Business Park Business Improvement District (BID) gives notice of the Annual General Meeting
Date: Friday 14th February 2025
Time: 12:00pm until 1:30pm followed by networking and Charity Bake Sale until 2:30pm
At: Snack Shack, Paula Rosa Manhattan Furniture, Marlborough Road
Businesses based on Lancing Business Park and Partner Organisations are invited to attend the LBP AGM and Charity Bake Off at the Snack Shack.
This is a chance to meet other LBP businesses and hear about the progress LBP has been making, including a full update on the LBP Road Improvement Plan Phases 2 & 3. LBP would also like to invite you to enter the Charity Bake Off to help raise funds for Safe In Sussex and purchase these delicious entries.
Charity Bake Off Details:
Last year's Charity Bake Off demonstrated the wonderful baking skills we are blessed with on the park, raised £540 for the LBP Charity of the Year and created some healthy Inter-park competition. This is a great team building opportunity for your company to demonstrate their baking expertise. Whether it's savoury, sweet, kids food or all of theses, LBP welcomes your entries.
This year Jurgen Kraub from The Great British Bake Off and Tracie Davey the CE of Worthing and Adur Chamber of Commerce have kindly agreed to be judges for the day and the winners will be announced at the start of the AGM at 12:15pm. A charity donation of £25 is needed per entry and will allow a maximum of 3 dishes - 1 savoury, 1 sweet and 1 kids food (made by kids or designed for kids), but you don't have to submit all of these if you prefer. Bakers are welcome to take inspiration from the Valentine's Day spirit, but this is not essential.

The AGM is an open meeting, however only members (companies based on the business park) are allowed to vote on motions and there is a strict ruling of one vote per member. The AGM will be run in accordance with BID best policy, and will elect the Members of the Advisory Committee for the forthcoming year.
The Lancing BID team will comprise of one member of staff (BID Manager) who will be responsible for delivering the aims, projects and aspirations of LBP. The BID Manager reports to the LBP Advisory Committee (up to a maximum of 15 members) the composition of the Advisory Committee will include businesses paying the BID levy and non-voting representatives from advisory organisations:
• The Directors
• At least one Member representative from each area of the six roads on LBP:
Blenheim Road
Chartwell Road
Commerce Way
Marlborough Road
Peter Road
Spencer Road
• Members from Adur & Worthing Councils and Worthing & Adur Chamber of Commerce
• The BID Manager
Applications are invited for any person wishing to stand for election as a Member of the Advisory Group. A notice signed by a Member qualified to vote at the Annual General Meeting should be sent to Lancing Business Park Ltd via email to suzy@lancingbusinesspark.co.uk. The notice must state their intention to propose their nomination for appointment and must be accompanied by a notice signed by the nominee of his/her willingness to be appointed. The closing date for receipt of nominations is Tuesday 7th February 2025.
