Our Thoughts on the A27 Consultation
Over the last few years, the CWS Partnership Board has championed the need for the whole stretch of the A27 in West Sussex to be developed for improved and more reliable journey times. As the main arterial route along the West Sussex coast, it is the most important transport connection between Portsmouth and Brighton so it is imperative that the A27 works effectively for the benefit of both the local, regional and national economy.
Consultations are now taking place on 2 sections of the route;
In Lancing and Worthing, the current option being consulted appears to fall short of offering any real long term improvement. Read more about our thoughts on the Lancing and Worthing consultation and learn how you can have your say here.
The consultation for the A27 Arundel bypass – which aims to relieve congestion by means of a new dual carriageway bypass has just started and the CWS Partnership looks forward to having an opportunity to consider the options over the next few week. Find out more here.
