The ILM Level 3 Certificate in First Line Management aims to give practising or potential first line managers the foundation for their formal development in this role. The qualification does this by developing basic management skills and assisting participants in gaining the basic knowledge required by a manager. This qualification builds on the ILM Level 3 Award in First Line Management, and broadens the skills and knowledge in a flexible and practical way.
Topics that we cover in the 17 week course are:
1. Understanding Leadership
2. Understand how to establish an effective team
3. Understand how to motivate to improve performance
4. Contributing to innovation and creativity in the workplace
5. Understanding Quality Management in the workplace
6. Understanding Costs and budgets
7. Solving problems and decision making
8. Understanding Marketing for managers
The classes run from 6pm-9pm every Thursday during term time and costs £490.
This course has very high success rates of over 90% and learners will benefit from working with other students from a wide variety of business sectors.
This is not an examination based course but there are 8 written assignments-one for each topic and they always relate back to your work experience.
